State Beach Volleyball Championships
This year's State Championship Event took place on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd January 2005 at Kingston Beach in Southern Tasmania.
Sponsored by VodafoneTM, this year's competition promised to be a cracker!
Entry was open to all players, registered or not, and teams were graded on the day according to entries.
Play commenced at 12pm on the 22nd, with preliminary matches running throughout the afternoon. On the 23rd, finals commenced from 10am and were completed at about lunchtime, when presentations were made to the winners.

Weather has been excellent for beach volleyball! Final results as follows:

| Division AA Women - Pairs |
| Winners: Hunt/Rice def Wiggins/Nichols in the final. |
| Division A Men - Pairs |
| Winners: Hannsen/Adams def Hunt/Hunt in the final, but the husband/wife combination put up a great fight. |
| Division AA Men - Pairs |
| Winners: Blackburn/Byrne def Smith/Ibbott in the final, exacting some revenge for the reverse result in a December event. |
| 3rd place was won by Foster/Morrison, of Launceston, who defeated Shea/Wilde of Hobart. |
