State Beach Volleyball Championships
This year's State Championship Event took place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th February 2006 at Kingston Beach in Southern Tasmania.
Naming Rights Sponsor VodafoneTM again provided some much needed support of beach volleyball around Australia.
Entry was open to all players and divisions were provided in open men/women pairs and social fours. There was no representation for grade 7-9 fours and grade 10-12 fours.
Play commenced just after 10pm on Saturday, with preliminary round robin matches running throughout the day. The weather was near perfect for beach volleyball: warm, a bit overcast and still as a pond. On Sunday, the wind picked up and the temperature dropped due to late storms on Saturday. Finals commenced at 10:30am and were completed by 2pm, when presentations were made to the winners.
