Round 2: Australia Day Tournament 2007

The Australia Day tournament this summer was sponsored by Busy Bookkeeping and Forestry Tasmania. It took place over three days. Seeding was based on past results, including Round 1 (9th/10th December), and further seeding points will be allocated from these results toward entry at the State Beach Volleyball Championships on 24th/25th February. |

Saturday 27th January 2007 - Mixed Fours
Well, Mother Nature must have decided she doesn't like mixed fours because there were some simply atrocious weather conditions. The rain showers can be tolerated if not combined with gale force winds. Shot of the day: The Flying Gazebo. "Did anyone see my tent?"

Sunday 28th January 2007 - Men's/Women's Pairs
A few sunny patches throughout the day were a nice change, but the inconsistent gale force winds reared their ugly heads too often. Those who made best use of the wind generally came out trumps. Shot of the day: Skip's underhand serve that floated, floated, stopped, floated some more and then dropped in front of John whilst he was still mesmerised.
